West Africa

West Africa’s history has been a tragic co-mingling of faith and fortune. The West is captivated by daily stories of Islamic Boko Haram terrorists burning churches and murdering Christians.
But Muslims are by no means the only terrorists in this room. Consider for example, the Liberian Baptist lay-preacher Charles Taylor whose reign of terror caused the death of 12.5 percent of his country’s population and left a legacy in neighboring Sierra Leone with 50,000 dead and 11,000 child soldiers.
Yet it is against this tragic backdrop that God has sparked a passion for Jesus Christ that has seen thousands of Muslims turn away from Islam to embrace the Prince of Peace.
